Turned a 40-page brochure into less than 20 web pages for Westpac's Home Buyers & Sellers Guide.
Cried, like, 12 times. Laughed at least a billion, so it balances out.
Finished re-writing ALL of Westpac's brochures, making them more user-friendly, trimming the fat, and freshening up that tone of voice.
Tried to pull the stick out of Fonterra's tone of voice's arse (results are yet to be seen).
Busted out many amazing dance moves such as the one you see here.
Wrote 20 or so postcards about features of Australia (don't tell the Aussies a Kiwi does it better).
Wrote the HRV home ventilation system website for Y&R's digi department, and a handful of other wee sites.
Visited the Grey Lynn RSA so many times I got on the email list and have started being invited to funerals.
Helped Westpac launched their online home-buyers' search tool, Home Club.
Made an estimated 5 killer jokes, 200 jokes that at least made my girlfriend laugh, and 500+ Dad jokes.
Helped with the branding and tone of voice for a couple of cool new start-ups (watch this space).
Met some amazing tech and social media-savvy young women through Indiego and through Nerd Soiree (holler to Kim Lesch, Alex Waskiewicz, Noemi Selisker, Anna Rose Kerr, Sarah Davies), and am looking forward to working with them in the future.
Spoke at a dozen youth huis/classrooms/school assemblies about coming out, for Rainbow Youth Auckland - even got a certificate yusss.
And along the way, I reckon I've written around half a million words this year!! 19% of them being my online-based Skins fanfic (clocking in at 95,500 words), 4% amazingly witty Facebook status updates, 7% rants across my various online profiles and sites, 3% novels, stories and other ideas that may never make it past note form, and 90% work related, of course (added fact: 99% of statistics are made up).
