A taste of the work we've done together during our long, happy relationship.

I've been working with Westpac since 2011, and we've done so much together online and off. There isn't much of westpac.co.nz that  I haven't touched, from managing their tone of voice, to new pages, restructuring sections, web campaigns and more. JOINING THE TEAM Every year I've done a stint as a member of the Westpac team at Takutai Square. From joining the digital team for 3 months to dropping everything to come in and help launch a new product. I love going back in to see my old friends and colleagues.
DEVELOPMENT OF NEW WEB CONTENT Such as the research, sitemapping and copywriting of a new Property Investment hub at westpac.co.nz/home-loans/property-investment-hub/ – and more.
CREATIVE DIRECTION Most recently I oversaw and helped out our Big On Writing team-member Lil Leung with web pages for the launch of Westpac's new, award-winning online banking offering.
LARGE-SCALE STRATEGY, STRUCTURE & COPYWRITING Such as a review, cull and restructure of Westpac's brochure offering. I then rewrote key brochures using web principles to make them a better user experience.
SILVERSTRIPE CMS Knowing how the Westpac page templates are set up and how the CMS works is an advantage to me while I'm writing content. I'll structure the page appropriately, with notes about how the copy will translate in the CMS – to help the person who does the upload, whether it's me or one of the Westpac marketing team.
TONE OF VOICE With my long experience with Westpac I'm the go-to gal for Westpac tone of voice. I'll visit from time to time to tidy up the web pages where tone has gone astray. I've also helped my colleague Sue Worthington develop practical guides for staff on how to use the Westpac tone in the online environment. This image comes from a previous Westpac TVC that we thought had great T.O.V.
BALSAMIQ WIREFRAMING, SITE-MAPPING & CONTENT STRUCTURING Over the course of a couple of years we've been moving content to great new template designs, which is the perfect time to review content. I take care of wireframing and sitemapping – it just makes sense to do this too as I work out the content structure. Sometimes, writing the words are the smallest part of the job!
WRITING FOR NEW PRODUCT LAUNCHES Launching a new product can be time sensitive, so at these times I'll often work in at Westpac to take care of copywriting challenges as they come up. I've taken care of writing new web pages, eDMs, letters, portal copy and any element the digital, marketing or product teams need help with.
INTERACTIVE TOOLS Copy for portals, online forms and tools needs to be simple and informative. I made sure everyone would find it really simple to use Westpac's HomeClub online tool.
